How it works

1. Cast Shrieking Drake by paying .
2. When Shrieking Drake enters the battlefield, it and Metastatic Evangel trigger.
3. Resolve the Shrieking Drake trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Resolve the Metastatic Evangel trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Crystalline Crawler.
5. Activate Crystalline Crawler's first ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding .
6. Repeat.

This elegant little loop turns a simple one-mana bounce creature into an engine for endless growth. By casting Shrieking Drake over and over, you trigger Metastatic Evangel to proliferate every time it enters, which constantly builds up Crystalline Crawler. You then cash in those newly added counters using Crystalline Crawler's mana ability to fund the next casting of Shrieking Drake, creating a self-sustaining loop that nets you infinitely repeating enters-the-battlefield triggers and unbounded proliferations.
