How it works

1. Cast Shrieking Drake by paying .
2. When Shrieking Drake enters the battlefield, it and Angelic Sell-Sword trigger.
3. Resolve the Shrieking Drake trigger, returning itself from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Resolve the Angelic Sell-Sword trigger, creating a creature token.
5. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the creature token, adding .
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a simple self-bouncing creature into an infinite engine by leveraging Angelic Sell-Sword's ability to constantly replenish your board with fresh sacrifices. Every time you recast Shrieking Drake, Angelic Sell-Sword triggers to generate a 1/1 red Mercenary creature token, which you can immediately feed to Phyrexian Altar to fund the blue mana required to cast the Drake all over again. Because Shrieking Drake's mandatory entry trigger forces it to pick up a creature you control and it happily targets itself, you can repeat this cycle endlessly to generate limitless sacrifice triggers, deaths, and storm count.
