How it works

1. Cast Kodama of the East Tree either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 4 plus commander tax, if applicable.
2. Holding priority, cast Double Major by paying , copying the Kodama of the East Tree spell, with the copy not being legendary.
3. Resolve both Kodama of the East Tree spells.
4. Play Guildless Commons.
5. Both Kodama of the East Trees and Guildless Commons trigger.
6. Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, choosing not to put anything from your hand onto the battlefield.
7. Resolve the Guildless Commons trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
8. Resolve the nontoken Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Guildless Commons from your hand onto the battlefield.
9. The token Kodama of the East Tree and Guildless Commons trigger.
10. Resolve the Guildless Commons trigger, returning it to your hand from the battlefield.
11. Resolve the token Kodama of the East Tree trigger, putting Guildless Commons from your hand onto the battlefield.
12. The nontoken Kodama of the East Tree and Guildless Commons trigger.
13. Repeat from step 7.

This brilliant loop relies on having two copies of Kodama of the East Tree on the board—one of which is happily stripped of its legendary status thanks to Double Major copying the creature spell upon casting. When you drop Guildless Commons, its own entry triggers a self-bounce, but it also triggers both Kodama of the East Trees, creating a gorgeous cascading exchange. The first Kodama lets you put Guildless Commons right back onto the battlefield from your hand, which immediately triggers both Kodama abilities and the land all over again. By alternating which Kodama responds to the land's arrival, you create a perpetual motion machine that generates infinite landfall triggers entirely on its own.
