How it works

1. Cast the artifact by paying 0.
2. Toph, Hardheaded Teacher triggers, earthbending Guildless Commons.
3. Resolve the artifact spell.
4. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Guildless Commons.
5. When Guildless Commons dies, Toph, Hardheaded Teach triggers, returning Guildless Commons from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
6. When Guildless Commons enters, it triggers, returning the artifact cast in step 1 from the battlefield to your hand, as it's a land due to Toph, the First Metalbender.
7. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability
8. Repeat.

This loop turns a free artifact into an infinite engine of destruction by layering continuous land types over a bouncing mechanic. Toph, the First Metalbender does the crucial heavy lifting of transforming your nontoken artifacts into lands, allowing Guildless Commons to treat that free artifact as a valid target for its own entry trigger. Once you cast the artifact, Toph, Hardheaded Teacher triggers to animate Guildless Commons into a creature via earthbend, letting you sacrifice it directly to Goblin Bombardment. Because Guildless Commons returns to the battlefield tapped upon dying—and its entry trigger subsequently bounces the artifact back to your hand thanks to Toph, the First Metalbender's land-typing—you can recast the artifact endlessly to repeat the entire cycle, turning infinite deaths into infinite damage.
