How it works

1. Cast the artifact by paying 0.
2. Toph, Hardheaded Teacher triggers, earthbending Guildless Commons.
3. Resolve the artifact spell.
4. Activate Need for Speed by sacrificing Guildless Commons.
5. When Guildless Commons dies, Toph, Hardheaded Teach triggers, returning Guildless Commons from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
6. When Guildless Commons enters, it triggers, returning the artifact cast in step 1 from the battlefield to your hand, as it's a land due to Toph, the First Metalbender.
7. Resolve the Need for Speed ability
8. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms zero-mana artifacts into a self-sustaining engine by turning them into lands with Toph, the First Metalbender, which allows Guildless Commons to bounce them right back to your hand upon entering the battlefield. Need for Speed acts as the sacrifice outlet by using those same lands as fuel, sending Guildless Commons to the graveyard where Toph, Hardheaded Teacher can conveniently pluck it back into play via her triggered ability (or leverage her discard-and-return flexibility if needed). Every iteration resets the artifact to your hand while triggering endless landfall and death effects, creating an infinite storm count and a relentless wave of creature triggers.
