How it works

1. Activate Patron of the Moon by paying 1, putting Izzet Boilerworks from your hand onto the battlefield tapped.
2. When Izzet Boilerworks enters the battlefield, it and Lotus Cobra trigger.
3. Resolve the Izzet Boilerworks trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Resolve the Lotus Cobra trigger, adding 1.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the self-bouncing nature of Izzet Boilerworks into an engine for endless resources, all orchestrated by Patron of the Moon's active ability. By paying just one mana to drop the Boilerworks straight from your hand, you trigger its own return clause alongside Lotus Cobra's landfall ability, which refunds the activation cost and then some.
