How it works

1. Activate Patron of the Moon by paying 1, putting Orzhov Basilica from your hand onto the battlefield tapped.
2. When Orzhov Basilica enters the battlefield, it and Lotus Cobra trigger.
3. Resolve the Orzhov Basilica trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Resolve the Lotus Cobra trigger, adding 1.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns the simple act of land drops into an infinite engine by relying on Patron of the Moon's ability to constantly cheat lands into play for a single mana. As Orzhov Basilica repeatedly enters and bounces itself back to your hand, Lotus Cobra intercepts each entry to generate the mana needed to keep Patron of the Moon's ability firing. Because Orzhov Basilica naturally returns a land to its owner's hand upon arrival, you have an endless supply of land cards to feed right back into the battlefield, fueling infinite landfall triggers without ever running out of resources.
