How it works

1. Activate Patron of the Moon by paying 1, putting Selesnya Sanctuary from your hand onto the battlefield tapped.
2. When Selesnya Sanctuary enters the battlefield, it and Nissa trigger.
3. Resolve the Selesnya Sanctuary trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Resolve the Nissa trigger, adding 1.
5. Repeat.

This clever engine harnesses the activated ability of Patron of the Moon to repeatedly drop Selesnya Sanctuary onto the battlefield, immediately bouncing itself back to your hand due to its own triggered ability. Every time that land enters, Nissa, Resurgent Animist triggers to fuel your mana pool with any color while digging deep into your library for Elves and Elementals. Because Selesnya Sanctuary pays for Patron of the Moon's activation cost and returns itself for the next loop, you generate an infinite chain of landfall triggers and mana without ever running out of cards in hand.
