How it works

1. Cast Walking Ballista by paying 1, causing it to enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
2. Activate Together Forever by paying 1, targeting Walking Ballista.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Walking Ballista, adding CC.
4. When Walking Ballista dies, Together Forever triggers, returning Walking Ballista from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Foundry Inspector's cost reduction to make casting Walking Ballista incredibly cheap, ensuring you always net mana when you sacrifice it to Ashnod's Altar for two colorles mana. By sinking just one of that generated mana into Together Forever's activation beforehand, you guarantee that Walking Ballista's death triggers a return straight to your hand rather than the graveyard. Because Walking Ballista re-enters the battlefield with its counters intact and ready to repeat the cycle, this self-sustaining loop yields an infinite storm count alongside endless leaves-the-battlefield, enters-the-battlefield, and sacrifice triggers.
