How it works

1. Cast Ebondeath from your graveyard by paying due to Green Goblin.
2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Ebondeath, adding .
3. When Ebondeath dies, Gutter Grime triggers, putting a slime counter on it and creating a creature token.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the creature token, adding .
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on the graveyard-casting synergy of Green Goblin—the transformed side of Norman Osborn—whose static ability reduces the cost of spells cast from your graveyard by {2}, allowing you to repeatedly deploy Ebondeath, Dracolich for a mere two black mana whenever a creature dies. Once Ebondeath enters, you feed it directly into Phyrexian Altar to generate mana, which simultaneously satisfies Ebondeath's own resurrection condition and triggers Gutter Grime. While the resulting Ooze tokens grow larger with each iteration courtesy of Gutter Grime's slime counters, sacrificing those tokens back to Phyrexian Altar keeps the mana flowing endlessly.
