How it works

1. Cast Haze of Rage with buyback by paying 3.
2. Poppet Stitcher and Haze of Rage's storm ability triggers.
3. Resolve the Poppet Stitcher trigger, creating a 2/2 Zombie creature token.
4. When the Zombie enters the battlefield, Mana Echoes triggers, adding C for each Zombie you control.
5. Resolve the Haze of Rage trigger, copying Haze of Rage for each spell you've cast before it this turn.
6. Resolve each Haze of Rage, giving creatures you control +1/+0 until end of turn for each Haze of Rage and returning the original Haze of Rage to your hand.
7. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Zombie, adding .
8. Repeat.
9. If you control three or more Zombies as the combo begins, this combo nets infinite colorless mana.

This clever loop turns a modest storm spell into a powerhouse by converting creature generation directly into an escalating mana engine. Whenever you cast Haze of Rage with its buyback cost paid, Poppet Stitcher triggers to create a Zombie token, which immediately causes Mana Echoes to produce colorless mana thanks to the shared creature type. You can then sacrifice that token to Phyrexian Altar to generate colored mana, feeding the cycle while the buyback mechanic returns Haze of Rage right back to your hand to cast all over again.
