How it works

  1. Activate up to two lands by tapping them, adding at least 1U mana.
  2. Cast Cloud of Faeries by paying 1U mana.
  3. Archmage of Echoes triggers, copying Cloud of Faeries.
  4. Resolve the copy of the Cloud of Faeries spell, creating a token copy of it.
  5. When the Cloud of Faeries token enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping up to two lands.
  6. Activate up to two lands by tapping them, adding at least 1U mana.
  7. Resolve the original Cloud of Faeries spell.
  8. When Cloud of Faeries enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping up to two lands.
  9. Cast either Quickling or Faerie Impostor from your hand by paying its mana cost.
  10. Archmage of Echoes triggers, copying the Quickling or Faerie Impostor spell.
  11. Resolve the copy of the Quickling or Faerie Impostor spell, creating a token copy of it.
  12. When the Quickling or Faerie Impostor token enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Quickling or Faerie Impostor from the battlefield to your hand.
  13. Resolve the original Quickling or Faerie Impostor spell.
  14. When Quickling or Faerie Impostor enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Cloud of Faeries from the battlefield to your hand.
  15. Repeat.

With Archmage of Echoes anchoring the engine, every creature you cast doubles into a fresh token copy, turning simple casts into overwhelming value. By casting Cloud of Faeries, you generate a cascade of untap triggers from both the original and its copy that easily net you a surplus of mana. From there, deploying either Quickling or Faerie Impostor allows their respective enter-the-battlefield abilities to bounce your key pieces back to safety—or swap targets—while Archmage of Echoes keeps churning out tokens to sustain an endless loop.
