How it works

  1. Cast Snap by paying its mana cost.
  2. Holding priority, cast Lutri without paying its mana cost due to Aluren.
  3. When Lutri enters, it triggers, copying Snap.
  4. Resolve the Snap copy, returning Lutri from the battlefield to your hand.
  5. Repeat from step 2.

This loop turns Aluren into an engine for infinite mana, storm, and triggers by exploiting the unique timing granted to low-mana creatures. Because Aluren lets you cast creatures with mana value 3 or less as though they had flash without paying their mana costs, you can instantly drop Lutri, the Spellchaser onto the battlefield whenever you need to. Once Lutri enters, its triggered ability immediately copies the Snap you just cast, allowing that copy to bounce Lutri right back to your hand. Meanwhile, Snap's resolution untaps your lands to pay for future spells, creating a self-sustaining cycle that easily outpaces normal resource limits.
