How it works

1. Cast Vadrok for its mutate cost by paying 1W/U, merging it under Dockside Extortionist.
2. The Dockside Extortionist mutated creature's ability from Vadrok triggers, casting Heat Shimmer from your graveyard without paying its mana cost.
3. Resolve Heat Shimmer, creating a token copy of the Dockside Extortionist mutated creature with haste.
4. The token copy of the Dockside Extortionist mutated creature triggers, creating at least three Treasure tokens.
5. Activate three Treasure tokens by tapping and sacrificing them, adding .
6. Cast Snap by paying 1, returning the nontoken Dockside Extortionist and Vadrok from the battlefield to your hand and untapping two lands you control.
7. Cast Vadrok for its mutate cost by paying 1W/U, merging it under the token Dockside Extortionist mutated creature.
8. The token Dockside Extortionist mutated creature triggers once for each of its Vadrok abilities.
9. Resolve one of these triggers, casting Heat Shimmer from your graveyard without paying its mana cost.
10. Resolve Heat Shimmer, creating a token copy of the Dockside Extortionist mutated creature with haste.
11. The token copy of the Dockside Extortionist mutated creature triggers, creating at least three Treasure tokens.
12. Activate three Treasure tokens by tapping and sacrificing them, adding .
13. Resolve a second trigger from step 8, casting Snap from your graveyard without paying its mana cost, targeting the mutated creature that includes the nontoken Vadrok.
14. Resolve Snap, returning Vadrok from the battlefield to your hand as well as multiple token creatures which cease to exist, and untapping two lands you control.
15. Resolve any remaining triggers from step 8, casting any noncreature cards with mana value 3 or less that were not already cast since step 8 from your graveyard without paying their casting costs.
16. Repeat from step 7, adding one additional token Vadrok to each new iteration of the Dockside Extortionist mutated creature token.

This brilliant loop turns the explosive treasure generation of Dockside Extortionist into a recursive spell-casting engine by leveraging Vadrok, Apex of Thunder's mutate trigger. Every time you mutate Vadrok onto the creature, you get to cast a cheap noncreature card like Heat Shimmer from your graveyard for free to copy the mutated monster, generating a massive influx of Treasure tokens. Meanwhile, bouncing the pieces back to your hand with Snap allows you to reset the board while keeping your lands untapped to help fund the continuous casting costs.
