How it works

1. Declare Preeminent Captain as an attacker.
2. Preeminent Captain triggers, putting Medomai from your hand onto the battlefield tapped and attacking.
3. Deal combat damage with Medomai, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
4. Activate Crystal Shard by paying and tapping it, returning Medomai to your hand.
5. Pass the turn.
6. Repeat.

This ingenious loop bypasses Medomai the Ageless's dreaded restriction against attacking on extra turns by never actually taking an extra turn *with* it on the battlefield. By casting Arcane Adaptation and naming "Soldier," Preeminent Captain gains the ability to cheat Medomai straight from your hand into play attacking whenever the Captain swings. Once Medomai connects for combat damage to secure your extra turn, you simply use Crystal Shard to bounce Medomai back to your hand before the turn ends, resetting the cycle so you can replay it fresh every single round.
