How it works

1. Cast Grovetender Druids by paying 2.
2. When Grovetender Druids enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to pay 1 to create a 1/1 Plant creature token.
3. When the Plant enters the battlefield as an Ally due to Arcane Adaptation, Grovetender Druids triggers.
4. Holding priority, activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Plant, adding 1.
5. Resolve the Grovetender Druids trigger, causing you to pay 1 to create a 1/1 Plant creature token.
6. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop transforms a modest Ally into a relentless token factory by bridging tribal synergy with mana conversion. With Arcane Adaptation rewriting every creature you own—including the token spells on the battlefield—to be Allies, Grovetender Druids sees each new arrival trigger its rally ability to make a Plant token for one mana. You then feed that very same token right into Phyrexian Altar, sacrificing it to generate the exact single mana needed to pay for the Druids' next trigger. Because the Plant enters as an Ally, the loop becomes completely self-sustaining, generating an infinite storm of enters-the-battlefield, death, and sacrifice triggers.
