How it works

1. Cast Dread Slaver by paying 3.
2. When Dread Slaver enters the battlefield, Be'lakor's second ability triggers, causing Dread Slaver to deal damage equal to its power to itself.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Dread Slaver, adding CC.
4. When Dread Slaver dies, it triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This brilliant loop transforms Dread Slaver into a self-sustaining engine by rewriting the very nature of your army with Arcane Adaptation, turning every creature into a Demon to satisfy Be'lakor, the Dark Master's damage trigger. Whenever Dread Slaver enters the battlefield, Be'lakor forces it to deal damage to itself, which immediately primes the Slaver's own resurrection ability for the moment you sacrifice it to Ashnod's Altar for colorless mana. Because Dread Slaver dies having been dealt damage by itself, its own triggered ability brings it right back to the battlefield, ready to trigger Be'lakor all over again in an endless cycle.
