How it works

  1. Play Dryad Arbor.
  2. When Dryad Arbor enters as an Ally due to Arcane Adaptation, Haru triggers, earthbending Dryad Arbor.
  3. Activate Dryad Arbor by tapping it, adding G mana.
  4. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Dryad Arbor.
  5. When Dryad Abor dies, Haru triggers, returning Dryad Arbor from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  6. When Dryad Arbor enters as an Ally due to Arcane Adaptation, Haru triggers, earthbending Dryad Arbor.
  7. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
  8. Repeat from step 3.

This cunning loop transforms a humble land into a self-sustaining engine by rewriting the very rules of creature types with Arcane Adaptation, which ensures that every land card you play enters as an Ally. That classification is all Haru, Hidden Talent needs to turn that entering land into an earthbent creature, which conveniently includes our land-creature Dryad Arbor. Once Dryad Arbor is on the field, you can tap it for green mana before feeding it to Shilgengar, Sire of Famine to generate a Blood token. Because dying triggers Haru, Hidden Talent to immediately return Dryad Arbor right back to the battlefield—where Arcane Adaptation makes it an Ally all over again—you can repeat this cycle endlessly to churn out infinite resources and triggers.
