How it works

1. Declare Altaïr as an attacker. Altaïr triggers, exiling Éomer from your graveyard with a memory counter on it, and then creating a tapped and attacking token copy of each card you own that is exiled with a memory counter on it.
2. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing another legendary creature token except Éomer.
3. When the creature dies, Éomer triggers, untapping all creatures you control and causing you to get an additional combat phase after this one.
4. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
5. Repeat during each combat phase.

This clever loop relies on Arcane Adaptation to rewrite the creature types of your entire deck and graveyard, turning legendary legends like Éomer, Marshal of Rohan into Assassins so they can be resurrected as attacking token copies by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. Once Altaïr swings to bring back that Éomer token, you can use Umbral Collar Zealot to sacrifice a legendary creature token, triggering Éomer's static-boosted untap ability to grant you an additional combat phase. Because Umbral Collar Zealot lets you repeat this sacrifice on the spot, you can cycle through endless combat steps while generating infinite sacrifice and death triggers.
