How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Dark Revenant.
2. When Dark Revenant dies, it triggers, putting itself from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing you to mill cards equal to Dark Revenant's power, which will cause you to mill Dark Revenant.
4. As Dark Revenant is a Lhurgoyf due to Arcane Adaptation, Disa's first ability triggers, returning Dark Revenant from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop relies on a clever identity shift: Arcane Adaptation redefines your entire deck, turning Dark Revenant into a Lhurgoyf even while it rests in the graveyard. Because of this type-changing magic, every time Dark Revenant is milled into your graveyard, Disa the Restless swoops in to cheat it directly back onto the battlefield instead of letting it rot. You then sacrifice it back to Altar of Dementia, triggering both a massive mill engine and Dark Revenant's own self-stacking return to the top of your library—setting up the cycle all over again.
