How it works

1. During your precombat main phase, activate Sakashima of a Thousand Faces by sacrificing it, returning Sakashima the Impostor from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Loyal Retainers.
2. Activate Sakashima the Impostor by sacrificing it, returning Sakashima of a Thousand Faces from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Loyal Retainers.
3. Repeat.

This recursive loop relies on a clever shell game between our legendary clones to continually pull each other back from the graveyard. Because Sakashima of a Thousand Faces removes the legend rule entirely, we can safely keep our cloned copy of Loyal Retainers on the battlefield without sending it straight to the graveyard. When we activate that copy's ability to sacrifice itself, it retrieves Sakashima the Impostor from the graveyard, which then enters the battlefield copying Loyal Retainers in turn. We can then sacrifice this new copy to return Sakashima of a Thousand Faces right back to the field, setting up an endless cycle that generates infinite death, entry, and sacrifice triggers.
