How it works

1. Activate Loyal Retainers by sacrificing it, returning Sakashima the Impostor from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Karmic Guide.
2. When Sakashima the Impostor enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Loyal Retainers from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Sakashima the Impostor.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns graveyard recursion into an infinite engine by leveraging Sakashima the Impostor's ability to enter the battlefield as a copy of Karmic Guide. When Sakashima arrives, its copied trigger brings back Loyal Retainers, while Umbral Collar Zealot stands ready to sacrifice the cloned Karmic Guide to fuel infinite surveil, death triggers, and leave-the-battlefield events. Because Loyal Retainers can then be sacrificed to pull Sakashima right back out of the graveyard as another Karmic Guide, the entire sequence resets seamlessly.
