How it works
- Activate Leyline of Abundance by paying 6, putting four +1/+1 counters on each creature you control due to Kami of Whispered Hopes and Branching Evolution.
- Activate Devoted Druid's first ability by tapping it, adding .
- Leyline of Abundance triggers, adding .
- Activate Devoted Druid's second ability by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping Devoted Druid.
- Repeat from step 2 three additional times.
- Repeat from step 1.
This clever loop is propelled by Devoted Druid's ability to untap itself at the cost of a -1/-1 counter, which is normally self-limiting, but here that downside is completely neutralized. Instead, you use Leyline of Abundance's hefty mana sink to flood the board with initial +1/+1 counters, a process supercharged exponentially by both Branching Evolution and Kami of Whispered Hopes to grow your creatures to immense proportions. While you tap Devoted Druid repeatedly for mana—doubled each time by Leyline of Abundance—its self-inflicted -1/-1 counters are easily washed away by repeating the Leyline activation to add even more positive counters. The result is an escalating engine that leaves you with boundless green mana and infinite +1/+1 counters across your entire team.
