How it works
- Activate any number of permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least 1.
- Cast Cleansing Meditation by paying 1, destroying all permanents as they are all enchantments due to Enchanted Evening, and then returning all cards in your graveyard destroyed this way to the battlefield.
- When Scholar of the Ages enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Cleansing Meditation and up to one other instant or sorcery from your graveyard to your hand.
- Repeat.
This intricate loop relies entirely on Enchanted Evening to turn every single permanent on the battlefield into an enchantment, transforming Cleansing Meditation from a standard board wipe into a terrifying one-sided reset. Once you hit threshold, casting Cleansing Meditation destroys your opponents' boards while conveniently binning your own permanents and sending the sorcery straight to your graveyard, only to immediately return everything you just lost back to the battlefield. Among those returning assets is Scholar of the Ages, whose entry trigger lets you scoop Cleansing Meditation right back into your hand to repeat the cycle indefinitely.
