How it works
- Cast Burnt Offering by paying and sacrificing Scholar of the Ages, adding seven .
- Cast Corpse Churn by paying 1, causing you to mill three cards.
- Cast Dance of the Dead from your graveyard for its escape cost by paying 1 and exiling three cards not used in the combo, returning Scholar of the Ages from your graveyard to the battlefield and attaching Dance of the Dead to it.
- Repeat.
This loop is anchored by The Master of Keys, whose static ability grants escape to every enchantment in your graveyard—including Dance of the Dead—allowing you to repeatedly pull Scholar of the Ages back from the graveyard onto the battlefield. Once the Scholar is back, its enters-the-battlefield trigger lets you retrieve both Burnt Offering and Corpse Churn right back to your hand. You then sacrifice the Scholar to Burnt Offering to fund the mana for your spells, while Corpse Churn helps churn cards into your graveyard to keep fueling The Master of Keys's escape exile costs.
