How it works

  1. Cast Burnt Offering by paying B mana and sacrificing Scholar of the Ages, adding seven mana in any combination of B mana and/or R mana.
  2. Cast Return Upon the Tide by paying 4B mana, returning Scholar of the Ages from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  3. Scholar of the Ages triggers, returning Burnt Offering and Return Upon the Tide from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Repeat.
