How it works

1. Activate a permanent by tapping it, adding at least .
2. Cast Ghostly Flicker by paying due to Hinata, blinking Scholar of the Ages and the permanent tapped for mana in step 1.
3. When Scholar of the Ages enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Ghostly Flicker from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Repeat.

This infinite loop relies on Hinata, Dawn-Crowned to drastically discount your spells, turning Ghostly Flicker into a bargain that costs just {U} since it targets two permanents you control. By using Ghostly Flicker to target both Scholar of the Ages and a mana-producing permanent, you can continuously reset the battlefield; when Scholar of the Ages enters, its trigger plucks Ghostly Flicker right back out of your graveyard to hand. Because Hinata's cost-reduction ability scales down your spells for every target they possess, your flicker spell pays for itself repeatedly while generating an endless chain of enters-the-battlefield and leaves-the-battlefield triggers.
