Culling the Weak

How it works

1. Cast Culling the Weak by paying and sacrificing Scholar of the Ages, adding .
2. Cast Victimize by paying 2, causing you to sacrifice a creature and return Scholar of the Ages and another creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. When Scholar of the Ages enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Culling the Weak and Victimize to your hand from your graveyard.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop uses the sacrifice demands of Culling the Weak and Victimize not as costs, but as the very engine that keeps our gears turning. By feeding Scholar of the Ages to Culling the Weak, we generate the black mana needed to cast Victimize, which then brings the Scholar right back alongside another creature from the graveyard. Whenever Scholar of the Ages enters the battlefield, its triggered ability salvages both of our key spells from the graveyard back to our hand, setting the stage to do it all over again.
