How it works

1. Cast Temporal Manipulation by paying its mana cost, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
2. Cast Ephemerate by paying , blinking Scholar of the Ages and exiling Ephemerate.
3. When Scholar of the Ages enters, it triggers, returning Temporal Manipulation from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Move to your next turn. At the beginning of your upkeep, Ephemerate's rebound ability triggers, causing you to cast it from exile without paying its mana cost.
5. Resolve Ephemerate, blinking Scholar of the Ages.
6. When Scholar of the Ages enters, it triggers, returning Ephemerate from your graveyard to your hand.
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop achieves infinite turns by turning a single white mana and a sorcery into an unbroken sequence of extra turns. You begin by casting Temporal Manipulation to buy yourself the time, and then deploy Ephemerate to blink Scholar of the Ages. Whenever the Scholar enters the battlefield, its triggered ability recycles your resources by pulling both Temporal Manipulation and Ephemerate right back from the graveyard to your hand. Best of all, Ephemerate's rebound ability ensures that you can recast it for free during your upkeep without spending any additional mana, sustaining the entire engine turn after turn.
