How it works

1. Cast Temporal Manipulation by paying its mana cost, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
2. Cast Scholar of the Ages by paying its mana cost.
3. When Scholar of the Ages enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Temporal Manipulation from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Move to your next turn.
5. Activate Dour Port-Mage by paying 1 and tapping it, returning Scholar of the Ages from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Dour Port-Mage triggers, causing you to draw a card.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop locks down the game by recycling your ultimate spell over and over, all while turning your utility creature into a card-drawing engine. By casting Temporal Manipulation, you secure the extra time you need to deploy Scholar of the Ages, whose entrance triggers the return of that very same extra-turn spell right back to your hand. Meanwhile, Dour Port-Mage plays a double role: its activated ability safely bounces the Scholar back to your hand for reuse, and its static triggered ability rewards you with a fresh card draw every single time that creature leaves the battlefield without dying.
