How it works

  1. Cast Feign Death by paying B mana, targeting Scholar of the Ages.
  2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Scholar of the Ages, adding B mana.
  3. Scholar of the Ages triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  4. Scholar of the Ages enters the battlefield, returning Feign Death from your graveyard to your hand.
  5. Repeat.
