How it works
- Activate up to five lands by tapping them, adding at least 2.
- Cast Displace by paying 2, blinking Scholar of the Ages and Peregrine Drake
- When Scholar of the Ages and Peregrine Drake enter the battlefield, their abilities trigger.
- Resolve the Scholar of the Ages trigger, returning Displace from your graveyard to your hand.
- Resolve the Peregrine Drake trigger, untapping up to five lands.
- Repeat.
This loop creates an engine by constantly recycling spells and untapping your mana sources. By casting Displace, you blink both Scholar of the Ages and Peregrine Drake, sending them away and bringing them right back. When they return, Peregrine Drake untaps your lands to pay for the next spell, while Scholar of the Ages conveniently plucks Displace right back out of your graveyard and into your hand.
