How it works

  1. Cast Illusion of Choice by paying U mana, allowing you to decide how each player votes this turn and causing you to draw a a card.
  2. Cast Plea for Power by paying 3U mana, choosing all votes to be for time, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
  3. Activate Baboon Spirit by paying 3U mana, exiling Scholar of the Ages.
  4. At the beginning of your end step, Baboon Spirit triggers, returning Scholar of the Ages from exile to the battlefield.
  5. When Scholar of the Ages enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Illusion of Choice and Plea for Power from your graveyard to your hand.
  6. Repeat each turn.

This clever loop achieves infinite turns by rigging the ballot box in your favor every single cycle. By casting Illusion of Choice, you bypass the democracy of Plea for Power, forcing every vote toward time so you are guaranteed an extra turn. Meanwhile, Baboon Spirit acts as your blinking engine, exiling and returning Scholar of the Ages at the end step to continuously dig Plea for Power and Illusion of Choice right back out of your graveyard.
