How it works

1. Cast Time Stretch by paying its mana cost, taking two extra turns after this one.
2. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Progenitor Mimic triggers, creating a token copy of Scholar of the Ages.
3. When the token Scholar of the Ages enters the battlefield, it triggers itself, returning Time Stretch and up to one other instant or sorcery card from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Repeat.

This masterful loop locks down the game by turning extra turns into a permanent self-sustaining cycle. You begin by casting Time Stretch to seize multiple consecutive turns, letting you set up the engine. Once Progenitor Mimic is on the board copying Scholar of the Ages, every single upkeep rewards you with a fresh token copy of the Scholar. As that token enters the battlefield, its triggered ability immediately dips into your graveyard to pull Time Stretch right back to your hand, ready to be cast again to fund the next set of turns.
