How it works

1. Activate Mogg Fanatic by sacrificing it.
2. When Mogg Fanatic dies, Mortuary and Proper Burial trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Mogg Fanatic from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Proper Burial trigger, causing you to gain 1 life
5. Resolve the Mogg Fanatic ability.
6. Cast Mogg Fanatic from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop lets you weaponize the top of your library by turning a single goblin into an endless cycle of sacrifice and rebirth. With Bolas's Citadel granting you permission to cast spells directly from the top of your library and replacing their mana costs with life payments, you can repeatedly deploy Mogg Fanatic for just a single point of life. Each time you sacrifice Mogg Fanatic to ping a target, Mortuary steps in to immediately recycle it back onto the top of your library. Meanwhile, Proper Burial completely offsets the life cost paid to Bolas's Citadel by gaining you life equal to the creature's toughness upon its death, making the entire engine self-sustaining.
