How it works

1. Activate Mogg Fanatic by sacrificing it.
2. When Mogg Fanatic dies, Mortuary and Moonlit Wake trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Mogg Fanatic from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Moonlit Wake trigger, causing you to gain 1 life
5. Resolve the Mogg Fanatic ability.
6. Cast Mogg Fanatic from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a humble goblin into an endless engine of destruction by leveraging life as a resource instead of mana. You begin by activating Mogg Fanatic to ping any target, sending it to the graveyard where Mortuary immediately intercepts it to place the fanatic right back on top of your library. Meanwhile, Moonlit Wake cushions the life loss required by Bolas's Citadel, which allows you to recast Mogg Fanatic straight off the top of your library for just 1 life—a cost entirely offset by the life you gain on death. Repeating this cycle lets you continually sacrifice and replay the fanatic to melt your opponents' life totals with infinite damage while building an unstoppable storm count.
