How it works

1. Activate Mogg Fanatic by sacrificing it.
2. When Mogg Fanatic dies, Mortuary and Relic Vial trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Mogg Fanatic from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Relic Vial trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Resolve the Mogg Fanatic ability.
6. Cast Mogg Fanatic from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop puts Mogg Fanatic through a perpetual cycle of sacrifice and resurrection to drain the table dry. Whenever you sacrifice Mogg Fanatic to deal a point of damage, Mortuary quietly catches it on the way to the graveyard, placing the goblin right back on top of your library. From there, Bolas's Citadel allows you to immediately recast it using life instead of mana, smoothly fueling the engine. Meanwhile, Relic Vial rewards every iteration of this grim cycle by siphoning life from your opponents and padding your own total to keep paying the Citadel's toll.
