How it works

1. Activate Mogg Fanatic by sacrificing it.
2. When Mogg Fanatic dies, Mortuary and Embalmed Ascendant trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Mogg Fanatic from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Embalmed Ascendant trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Resolve the Mogg Fanatic ability.
6. Cast Mogg Fanatic from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns a humble goblin into an infinite damage and life-draining engine. You begin by sacrificing Mogg Fanatic to ping any target, which triggers its death through Embalmed Ascendant's max speed ability to drain your opponents and pad your life total. Simultaneously, Mortuary intercepts Mogg Fanatic as it hits the graveyard, neatly tucking it back onto the very top of your library. From there, Bolas's Citadel allows you to simply replay Mogg Fanatic directly from the library by paying life instead of mana, immediately readying the cycle to repeat until your foes are whittled away to nothing.
