How it works
- Activate Amoeboid Changeling's second ability by tapping it, causing Otherworldly Escort to lose all creature types until end of turn.
- Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Otherworldly Escort.
- When Otherworldly Escort dies, it triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as a Spirit Detective.
- When Otherworldly Escort enters, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
- Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
- Repeat.
This clever loop relies on stripping Otherworldly Escort of its native Spirit type using Amoeboid Changeling's second activated ability so that its death trigger successfully replaces it upon dying. Once Bloodflow Connoisseur sacrifices the Escort to grow itself, the resulting death trigger returns the Escort to the battlefield as a new Spirit Detective. Because Intruder Alarm treats this entry as a fresh creature arrival, every creature on your battlefield—including Amoeboid Changeling and Bloodflow Connoisseur—untaps automatically, allowing you to repeat the entire process indefinitely.
