How it works

1. Activate Amoeboid Changeling's second ability by tapping it, causing Otherworldly Escort to lose all creature types until end of turn.
2. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing Otherworldly Escort.
3. When Otherworldly Escort dies, it and Amoeboid Changeling trigger.
4. Resolve the Amoeboid Changeling trigger, untapping it.
5. Resolve the Otherworldly Escort trigger, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as a Spirit Detective.
6. Resolve the Yahenni ability.
7. Repeat.

This cunning loop transforms Otherworldly Escort into an immortal sacrifice engine by exploiting its own creature-type clause: because its resurrection trigger only fires "if it's not a Spirit," stripping away all its types with Amoeboid Changeling ensures it always brings itself back no matter how many times it dies. You can feed Otherworldly Escort directly to Yahenni, Undying Partisan to continuously trigger death and sacrifice effects while growing Yahenni into a massive threat. Meanwhile, Thornbite Staff can sit equipped or ready to be utilized, tying the whole vicious cycle together.
