How it works

1. Activate Amoeboid Changeling by tapping it, causing Magmaw to gain all creature types until end of turn.
2. Activate Magmaw by paying 1 and sacrificing another nonland permanent, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
3. Malcolm triggers, creating a 1/1 Squirrel creature token and a Treasure token.
4. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This ingenious loop turns Magmaw into an honorary Pirate by using Amoeboid Changeling's ability to give it all creature types, allowing its own activation costs to trigger Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator whenever it deals damage to an opponent. Thanks to Chatterfang, Squirrel General's static replacement effect, every Treasure token generated by Malcolm's trigger is accompanied by a bonus Squirrel token, providing a steady supply of fodder to sacrifice back to Magmaw. By cycling a nonland permanent through Magmaw to ping your foes and feeding the resulting treasures and squirrels right back into the engine, you generate an endless storm of artifact and creature triggers that easily obliterates the table.
