How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Kitchen Finks, adding CC.
2. Kitchen Finks's persist ability and Mortician Beetle trigger.
3. Resolve the Kitchen Finks trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 and a vigilance counter.
4. Kitchen Finks enters the battlefield, causing you to gain two life.
5. Resolve the Mortician Beetle trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
6. Activate Tayam by paying 3, removing a +1/+1 counter from Mortician Beetle and removing both counters from Kitchen Finks.
7. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Kitchen Finks, adding CC.
8. Kitchen Finks's persist ability and Mortician Beetle trigger.
9. Resolve the Kitchen Finks trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 and a vigilance counter.
10. Kitchen Finks enters the battlefield, causing you to gain two life.
11. Resolve the Mortician Beetle trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
12. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Kitchen Finks, adding CC.
13. Mortician Beetle triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself.
14. Resolve the Tayam ability from step 6, causing yourself to mill three cards and return Kitchen Finks from your graveyard to the battlefield.
15. Kitchen Finks enters the battlefield, causing you to gain two life.
16. Repeat.

This loop thrives on turning Kitchen Finks's persist mechanic into a self-sustaining engine by cleverly manipulating counters. Ashnod's Altar provides the initial sacrifice outlet to generate mana while triggering Mortician Beetle to grow larger. Tayam, Luminous Enigma acts as the ultimate recycler, spending the accumulated counters to pull Kitchen Finks right back out of the graveyard whenever it gets locked down by -1/-1 counters.
