How it works

1. Cast Slumbering Dragon by paying .
2. When Slumbering Dragon enters the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio and Bladewing's Thrall trigger.
3. Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, choosing to return nothing to your hand.
4. Resolve the Bladewing's Thrall trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. When Bladewing's Thrall enters the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio triggers, returning Slumbering Dragon from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Bladewing's Thrall, adding .
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the cheap drop of Slumbering Dragon into a self-sustaining engine by exploiting its creature types. Each time the Dragon enters the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio triggers—allowing you to bounce the Dragon back to your hand while simultaneously triggering Bladewing's Thrall to reanimate itself from the graveyard, as the Thrall checks for any entering Dragon. To fund the whole operation, you feed Bladewing's Thrall to Thermopod's sacrifice ability for red mana, generating an endless cycle of creature entries, leaves, and deaths.
