How it works

1. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Junk Diver, adding .
2. When Junk Diver dies, it and Anax trigger.
3. Resolve the Anax trigger, creating a 1/1 Satyr creature token.
4. Resolve the Junk Diver trigger, returning Myr Retriever from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Cast Myr Retriever by paying 1.
6. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Myr Retriever, adding .
7. When Myr Retriever dies, it and Anax trigger.
8. Resolve the Anax trigger, creating a 1/1 Satyr creature token.
9. Resolve the Myr Retriever trigger, returning Junk Diver from your graveyard to your hand.
10. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing the Satyr, adding .
11. Cast Junk Diver by paying 2.
12. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on an artifact recursion cycle fueled by a sacrifice outlet that can also fund the loop's cast costs. By sacrificing Junk Diver to Thermopod, you trigger its death ability to pull Myr Retriever back to your hand, which you can then cast, sacrifice to Thermopod in turn, and use to recycle Junk Diver right back out of the graveyard. Anax, Hardened in the Forge watches this endless cycle of metallic mortality and generously spawns Satyr tokens off every single death, while Jhoira's Familiar quietly eases the economic burden by making these historic artifact creatures cheaper to recast over and over again.
