How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing another nonland creature.
2. When the creature dies, Beifong's Bounty Hunters triggers, earthbending a land you control.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
4. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing the earthbent land.
5. When the land dies, Anax and Beifong's Bounty Hunters trigger.
6. Resolve the Beifong's Bounty Hunters trigger, returning the land from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Resolve the Anax trigger, creating a creature token.
8. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
9. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms simple creature sacrifice into an endless engine of mill and landfall triggers, all anchored by the scaling power of Anax, Hardened in the Forge to feed your devotion to red. By feeding a nonland creature into Altar of Dementia, you trigger Beifong's Bounty Hunters to earthbend a land into a creature, setting up a recursive loop where that land can be sacrificed to Altar of Dementia in turn. Every time the land dies, Beifong's Bounty Hunters immediately returns it to the battlefield, while Anax, Hardened in the Forge watches the carnage and spits out Satyr tokens to keep the sacrificial fuel flowing endlessly.
