How it works

1. Activate Survey Mechan by sacrificing it.
2. When Survey Mechan dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Survey Mechan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Tormod triggers, creating two creature tokens.
4. Resolve the Survey Mechan ability, dealing 3 damage to any target and causing you to draw three cards and gain 3 life.
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the two creature tokens, adding CCCC.
6. Cast Survey Mechan by paying 4.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Survey Mechan into an endlessly recurring engine by leveraging Mortuary to recycle it straight to the top of your library whenever it dies. While Ashnod's Altar provides the colorless mana needed to recast the Mechan by sacrificing the tokens left behind, Tormod, the Desecrator capitalizes on those cards leaving the graveyard to spawn a pair of zombies. The real magic happens thanks to Adrix and Nev, Twincasters, whose replacement effect doubles those generated zombie tokens from one to two, yielding enough extra material to fuel the Altar's sacrifice cost and keep the combo grinding forward indefinitely.
