How it works

1. Activate Spawning Pit's first ability by sacrificing Cauldron Familiar.
2. Activate Cauldron Familiar by sacrificing a Food, returning Cauldron Familiar to the battlefield from your graveyard.
3. Cauldron Familiar and Kheru Goldkeeper trigger.
4. Resolve the Kheru Goldkeeper trigger, creating a token and a Food token.
5. Resolve the Cauldron Familiar trigger, causing each opponent to lose 1 life and you to gain 1 life.
6. Repeat

This clever engine turns a simple cat-and-oven loop into an infinite life-draining machine by leveraging token replacement effects and graveyard triggers. Whenever you sacrifice Cauldron Familiar to Spawning Pit, its departure to the graveyard immediately triggers Kheru Goldkeeper, whose ability yields both a bonus Treasure and an extra Food courtesy of Peregrin Took's replacement effect. That newly generated Food can then be sacrificed to return Cauldron Familiar straight back to the battlefield, triggering its drain ability while resetting the entire sequence.
