How it works

1. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing Cauldron Familiar, giving Yahenni indestructible until end of turn.
2. Activate Cauldron Familiar by sacrificing a Food, returning Cauldron Familiar to the battlefield from your graveyard.
3. Cauldron Familiar and Insidious Roots trigger.
4. Resolve the Insidious Roots trigger, creating a 0/1 green Plant creature token and a Food artifact token, and then putting a +1/+1 counter on each Plant you control.
5. Resolve the Cauldron Familiar trigger, causing each opponent to lose 1 life and you to gain 1 life.
6. Repeat

This clever loop turns the humble Cat-and-Food engine into an unstoppable cascade of value by letting Yahenni, Undying Partisan neatly sidestep needing an external sacrifice outlet. Every time you sacrifice Cauldron Familiar to fuel Yahenni's indestructible trick, the cat slips right back into the graveyard, which in turn causes Insidious Roots to trigger as a card leaves your yard. That graveyard departure yields a Plant token, while Peregrin Took gleefully steps in to ensure you get an extra Food token alongside it. With Insidious Roots granting your new Plant tokens a tap ability for any color of mana and Peregrin Took letting you cash in three Foods to draw a card, your board explodes into infinite tokens, lifegain, and counters while your opponents slowly bleed out.
