How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Cauldron Familiar
2. When Cauldron Familar dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating a Food, a Clue, and a Treasure token.
3. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
4. Activate Cauldron Familiar by sacrificing a Food, returning Cauldron Familiar from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. When Cauldron Familiar enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing each opponent to lose 1 life and you to gain 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop transforms the humble cat into an engine of absolute abundance by leveraging several pieces working in concert. When Umbral Collar Zealot sacrifices Cauldron Familiar to surveil, Pitiless Plunderer triggers upon the cat's death, but that single creation is completely rewritten by Academy Manufactor into a full suite of a Clue, a Food, and a Treasure. You then use the newly generated Food to immediately pay the cost to return Cauldron Familiar to the battlefield, draining your opponents of life while leaving behind excess artifacts and mana to sustain the cycle indefinitely.
