How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Cauldron Familiar.
2. Activate Cauldron Familiar by sacrificing a Food, returning Cauldron Familiar to the battlefield from your graveyard.
3. Cauldron Familiar and Quintorius, History Chaser trigger.
4. Resolve the Quintorius, History Chaser trigger, creating a token and a Food token.
5. Resolve the Cauldron Familiar trigger, causing each opponent to lose 1 life and you to gain 1 life.
6. Repeat

This clever recursive loop turns the humble cat-and-oven dynamic into an engine of continuous creation. You start by using Umbral Collar Zealot to sacrifice Cauldron Familiar, sending the cat back to the graveyard while triggering Quintorius, History Chaser because a card has left your yard. Thanks to Peregrin Took modifying token creation, that graveyard departure yields not just a token, but a vital extra Food token to fuel the loop. You then use that generated Food to resurrect Cauldron Familiar, whose entrance drains your opponents and sets up the next sacrifice to Umbral Collar Zealot all over again.
